What is a Holistic Approach in Talent Management
Holism derives from the Greek word 'holos' means 'whole'. The concept, however, is still not that popular in our society - at least not from a professional perspective.
In general, the holistic view means to observe or analyse something or some area of life in a global way, that is, as a whole and not in a fragmented way.
Holism in Talent Management, as the concept suggests, means looking at different aspects of an individual's life when considering them as a candidate in a selection process. Likewise, recruiters who use a holistic approach are able to look at the various elements that make up a company.
The holistic approach is one of the pillars of Talent Boutique Solutions. In this context, we always seek to act comprehensively and globally, whether to understand what the company needs or to identify the best opportunities based on the global profile of our candidates.
There are many tools we can use to support our holistic approach. These are some of them:
- Emotional intelligence
- Astrology, numerology and other popular sciences
- Psychology
…and others.
When it comes to a holistic approach, it is about any system, from natural sciences, humanities, applied humanities and even philosophy itself.
An individual is not just their CV, but a mixture of body, mind and spirit, carrying memories, experiences, traumas and talents. Companies are collectives of those individuals who are working towards a common goal. Companies are people.
For this reason, our job is to unite candidates and companies whose ideals and dreams overlap, ensuring a better experience for the company and greater sense fulfilment for the candidate.
